Sometimes a song arrives quietly.
Sometimes a song arrives with great fanfare.
"Celebrating Unity at Last" arrived somewhere in between.
Although America's 250th Anniversary celebration inspired the first spark of the song, I never intended "Celebrating Unity at Last" to belong to one Nation alone.
I wrote "Celebrating Unity at Last" for every Nation.
Every culture.
Every language.
Every People.
Our world contains beautiful differences. Every Nation carries unique traditions, histories, music, and stories worth celebrating. Those differences do not divide humanity—they enrich humanity.
The message behind "Celebrating Unity at Last" is simple.
Kindness belongs to everyone.
Peace belongs to everyone.
Compassion belongs to everyone.
Love belongs to everyone.
One heart cannot change the entire world alone.
Yet one heart can touch another heart.
One conversation can inspire another conversation.
One act of kindness can encourage another act of kindness.
Perhaps unity begins exactly that way.
